Thrive Kings Mountain!

Do you want HUGE warehouses in your backyard?
How about an industrial plant or shopping mall?

If not, SIGN THIS PETITION TODAY
to hold the City of Kings Mountain, NC accountable
and keep the character of Kings Mountain.

A developer has submitted plans to rezone of 300+ acres on the side of Shepard Mountain and Dixon School Road, named the Dixon Ridge Project, from Rural and Suburban Residential to a Planned District Development.  For more details on the project click here.

While Thrive Kings Mountain! was able to stop this land being changed to 3.5 million square feet of warehouse space, the owner and developer still have massive plans for this land.  This is in the backyard of over 50 homes that will be polluted by light, noise and heavy traffic. The ecosystems of the Kings Mountain City Lakes will be at risk due to two of the subsidiary creeks being in the midst of the construction. If the Dixon Ridge Project is approved, similar inappropriate development could happen on your neighbor’s property wherever you live in Kings Mountain…

Keep the Character of Kings Mountain!

Support Kings Mountain to strategically develop and encourage business growth that allows the city to thrive, prosper and grow, rather than becoming a warehouse dominated land grab that diminishes housing values, community, jobs and the environment in Kings Mountain. Take the steps below to ensure this doesn’t happen in your neighborhood!

SIGN THE PETITION TODAY!
to say NO to rezoning these parcels!
